Carter Bechtol
Vice President, Development

As Vice President of Development for the Morgan Group, Carter Bechtol pursues new development opportunities in Texas and other select markets in the Central U.S. This includes site selection, feasibility analysis and all aspects of the pre-development and development process.

Prior to joining MGI, Carter served as a Vice President in the investment group of Camden Property Trust where he led the site selection, entitlement and design of over 1,000 units, and the acquisitions and disposition of over 4,500 units throughout the Central U.S. His experience also includes developing and acquiring multifamily properties with Lincoln Property Company and providing investment advisory services while at Apartment Realty Advisors.

Carter holds an MBA from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University, and earned his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin. Carter is a member of the Center for Real Estate and Finance at the University of Texas and the Urban Land Institute.
